Avro Vulcan B.Mk2 XM655 is maintained by a small group of dedicated technicians, all of whom are volunteers, many are ex-RAF, some even ex-V-Force personnel, including one who actually worked on XM655 in service. They give their time and talents throughout the year in all weathers. The Vulcan XM655 Maintenance and Preservation Society (655MaPS for short) is a membership organisation, the aim of which is to maintain and preserve AVRO Vulcan XM655 as a live and working example for the benefit of all. The society’s members are people or groups who support the aims of the society, and whose membership fees provide a substantial part of the funding necessary to maintain the aircraft.
If you decide to become a 655MaPS member, you will receive a membership card, a biannual news letter and free entry to our Wellesbourne Wings and Wheels events, and you will have free access to the cockpit on Saturday visits. All money raised through 655MaPS will be used solely for the maintenance, preservation and promotion of Vulcan XM655. We have absolutely no paid personnel ~ everyone who works on XM655 is a volunteer.
An individual membership costs just £15.00 (UK/EU) or £20.00 (Rest of world). Family membership, which covers two adults and children up to 14 years old, costs £25.00 (UK/EU) or £30.00 (Rest of world).
If you have any queries about membership, please email us via the Contacts page.
Your membership pack will contain your Membership Card, MaPS Rules and the latest Newsletter.
