22/06/2013 Royal Enfield Owners Visit XM655

Following our very successful Wings & Wheels there was no rest for the wicked! An early start called for a check to ensure we were ready for a visit from the Royal Enfield Owners Club and that the Fast taxi run hadn't broken anything!

With a very poor weather forecast it was good to see that 14 members of the club had risked the journey on their vintage motor bikes some from as far away as South Wales.

Fortunately, the weather forecast proved to be somewhat pessimistic and the rain stayed away from Wellesbourne, even giving us some sunny periods.
Consequently the owners were able to line up with their machines without getting a soaking!

Finally, the MaPS volunteers and all the Royal Enfield Club members got together for a photo call before XM655.

The afternoon arrived and we were lucky enough to be treated to a fly past by XH558 transiting back to base from displaying at Weston-Super-Mare, a rather larger Vulcan over Wellesbourne than the one at Wings & Wheels the previous Sunday.

Our thanks go to Vulcan to the Sky chief display pilot Martin Withers for kindly agreeing to the flypast request by our Chairman, Charles Brimson.
