Another Saturday involving tank work on the port number one tank, mainly checking for and remedying any leaks

Suitably armed with a number of buckets, fuel was transferred into the tank whilst keen eyes were trained on the plates and panels for any leaks.  A small leak was identified so after application of some gasket sealant and waiting for it to go off, we attempted a further test.  This time, only a weep was discovered and we were able to transfer 1000lbs of fuel into the tank.  We will obviously keep our eyes on this!!

Externally, work continued on the port undercarriage door area with cleaning and prepping.  The sentinel also received some attention with the manifold being worked on and she was started and ticked over nicely.

Elsewhere, the program of battery maintenance was continued with the battery from the aircraft being replaced with a freshly charged one from our stores.
