A busy and productive day on Saturday with the control panel being fitted to the GTC85 and tested. This showed up a wiring fault which was remedied and all gauges were tested satisfactorily. The engine was cranked and we hope to start it soon.
On the aircraft, the number 1 starboard pump plate was refitted and fuel successfully pumped in but this highlighted a minor weep at the main pump outlet joint so the fuel was transferred out again. Hopefully we will have new gaskets for this weekend.
The port main bogey had both front wheels removed to allow inspection of the brakes which were found to be OK.
The walking joints were removed and resealed to fix a hydraulic leak and the wheels refitted.
All being well, the aft pair will be done this week.
We also had a couple of group visits who enjoyed spending time with the aircraft.
