30 March 2019

Our Saturday started with more fuel leak chasing before our first booked visit of the day (of which there were 3!)

Attention was first given to the port side where a sneaky leak had developed… an ingenious solution was adopted of a funnel under the leak, with hose leading to a bucker.. Of course, this gave chance for a bit of “lace tieing”!

One of our volunteers eventually made it above the number 2 tanks to check connections as erroneous readings were being noted… but we had to curtail this due to a visit.

Meanwhile, gaskets were being prepared for the starboard terminal block for the capacitance belts.

Elsewhere, the Sentinel maintenance continued which eventually gave us chance to give her a run on the taxiway.

Our other group visits were treated to systems demos which gave us chance to exercise the aircraft’s control surfaces, bomb doors and lighting.

all in all a productive (and sunny!) day!!
