A very busy weekend indeed this weekend prepping the pan and XM655 for her Members Day. In fact, some of our volunteers were even there on Friday!

Lots of jobs to get the aircraft ready for our Members Day next Sunday, and a couple of booked visits kept us busy at the weekend.

A day of servicing duties and maintenance, together with a small number of pre-booked visits lay ahead when the volunteers arrived at the pan on Saturday.

With some visits pre booked throughout the day our volunteers made a start on the day’s tasks. First on the list was the reinstallation and testing of the pump on the riser….

After so many weeks of good weather, Saturday saw almost all four seasons in one day, all that was missing was hail or snow. What started as a lovely morning soon got a lot cooler, windier and wetter…

A misty start greeted our lower in number than usual volunteers on Saturday…
Although we were a bit short handed, a number of important jobs were carried out by the attending volunteers…

Despite such things as the World Cup, Wimbledon, the British Grand Prix and airshows being on, a few of our volunteers were at the pan today with the Vulcan. Only a few small jobs were carried out as our volunteers were kept busy with lots of casual visitors who we were happy to show around…

A very busy day at Wellesbourne today. An early start saw us preparing the aircraft, connecting the tug and loading all the support equipment ready for a trip across the airfield as soon as the tower opened at 0900.
