Normal service was resumed, not only being back to a usual Saturday but also the weather… cold and grey and time to dig out the coats!

A very busy weekend indeed this weekend prepping the pan and XM655 for her Members Day. In fact, some of our volunteers were even there on Friday!

Lots of jobs to get the aircraft ready for our Members Day next Sunday, and a couple of booked visits kept us busy at the weekend.

A day of servicing duties and maintenance, together with a small number of pre-booked visits lay ahead when the volunteers arrived at the pan on Saturday.
No cockpit visits 1st September 2018
With the exception of a small number of already booked tours, access to XM655’s cockpit will be CLOSED on Saturday 1st September due to ongoing engineering work.

A busy day lay ahead for our volunteers at the pan on Saturday with lots of jobs and a large pre booked visit in the morning who enjoyed a tour of XM655 and a systems demo.

With some visits pre booked throughout the day our volunteers made a start on the day’s tasks. First on the list was the reinstallation and testing of the pump on the riser….

A rather cooler but still glorious morning greeted our volunteers who had plenty to look forward to during the day. But priorities were made and the most important job of the day was done early…. Fixing the urn!!

A busy day lay ahead for our volunteers this Saturday with a large number of pre-booked visits to look after together with ground equipment runs, being the first Saturday of the month. The weather looked promising for the visits and who knew what surprises lay in store throughout the day….
